Halloween Music Vids = Profit?

I received a few messages from YouTube, saying that some of my videos (which are posted here at the bottom of this blog) are so popular that YT will pay me for every view. How stupid can they be? First of all, my videos have a lot of clips from Disney. They would sue me and then kill me. Second, my videos don't get that much of video views. I don't know how much a view it would be, but I doubt it would be worth it.

With this out of the way, expect my next HMV sometime soon.

"God's Little Creatures" HMV Reupload

YouTube - Halloween Music Vid - "God's Little Creatures"

I had to reupload this HMV for one reason, which is too lengthy to explain here, and I'm too lazy to re-write it. Just read the description in the video.

My thoughts on YouTube's new video pane

I don't like it for two reasons:

1. Give the thumbs to Ebert. Bring back the star rating. It was more specific to what we liked about it. If it was mediocre, I would give it a 3 star rating. Now I would have to choose between a Up or Down rating. What a load of crap.

2. Maybe I would like to see the author's videos in the same pane with the related videos. It's a bit confusing having to deal with related videos on the right side, and having to look for the user's videos in the user pane above the video. That's just useless.

Well, that's my opinion. What about you?

Worst Songs I Have Ever Heard

I have heard a lot of bad songs, but it's worse when people request me to do HMVs with terrible songs. In fact, now that I have brought this up, I'm going to a video review of the worst songs in films/TV. Expect to have your crappy songs ripped a new one!

New Halloween Music Video

I have new [secret] Halloween Music Vids coming out soon, sometime in April. While you wait, there will be a Halloween Music Vid coming out sometime this week, between today and Saturday. The song is called "Don't Go in the Basement", from a mind-trip short called Face Like a Frog. The short film is good, very surreal and very entertaining. But the song in the short is fantastic and creepy. It was composed and sung by Danny Elfman, who was one of the band members of Oingo Boingo, and would later compose for some of Tim Burton's films. You can watch the short here on YouTube.

Plans for the future

As much as I like making Halloween Music Vids to many viewers, I plan to do something else: video reviews (similar to the Nostalgia Critic videos). I will plan to make my own video reviews, sharing my own input of films and other forms of media. Of what, you may ask? I dunno. We'll see.

Halloween Music Vid - "Here Comes The Boogeyman"

Since the release of the flash game "Alice is Dead" and "Bioshock 2", I have received a few dozen comments about these games, which is mostly because both had this song in it. I'm aware! I'M FRIGGIN' AWARE!!! I HAVE PLAYED THE ALICE IS DEAD GAME, but I haven't played Bioshock 2 yet (but it looks awesome). I know that it's in both of these games! THANK YOU FOR THE INFO. READ THE COMMENTS SECTION FOR ONCE, WOULD YA?! Thank you for the feedback, though.

Computer News

Well, my computer hasn't been giving me any problems. The main reason why I had trouble the last time was I was running McAfee and Norton 360 at the same time. So, when I'm done with McAfee, I'll reinstall Norton 360, and see how it goes from there.

Best Buy can go jump off a cliff...

I tried to get a refund on my computer, but I had missed my chanced, due to the fact that the latest to return a PC is 15 days. 15 DAYS?!?!!?!? WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE?!!?!? It should've been between 30 or 60 days. 15 days is useless! I go ripped off! I tried to check for a new computer at the store as part of an exchange, but they had crap. Nothing related to what I was looking for. So, I had to get another computer of the same brand and model. Frickin' ingenious. So, if the new computer screws up again, guess who'll be eating the barrel of a Smith & Wesson? I just have to be more careful of what I use and how I use it.

Friends on the Other Side: The Animated Crossover

Well, it's here: TonyWDA's latest Animated Crossover. And what do I think of it? Well I give it 4 stars. It has great editing and wonderful use of clips, except for its final clip at the end. Watch it and see for yourself. Other than that, it's awesome. The best Animated Crossover I've seen using a villain song since "Why Me".

COMPUTER FAIL

Well, due to the fact that my computer is being a piece of crap, I will return it to Best Buy. My only other option is to buy a new computer at HP. It's a bit pricey, but it will have to do.

"I swear to god, I think I am ####ing jinxed..."

Well, the unexpected has happened; my computer crashed. Apparently, it was a problem with the memory. But because I wasn't sure of this, I took it to my friend Mike, who works in a local computer service building. I have not received word from him since around 3:45pm, but I'm sure he's working on other things with my computer. If there is something wrong, I may have to get a refund back at Best Buy, and buy a new computer from HP. I'm having a bad week.

Academy Award Disappointment

I watched the Academy Awards and I had one major disappointment with it. It was not with the bizarre publicity shtick or the choices of winners. It was the choice of presenters for the Horror Movie montage. The montage was somewhat passable, but it was an EPIC FAIL thanks to the use of Twilight and for having two Twilight actors present the montage. Twilight is a poor excuse of a horror movie. I have seen my share of good and bad horror films. I love the classics and a few recent ones, like SAW. I guess they wanted to include Twilight because it was they assumed it as a horror film. If the Academy worked in the stock market, WE WOULD ALL BE HOMELESS. They wouldn't know a good horror film or even appreciate the art of horror films if it bit them on the @$$. All I see in Twilight are attention-grabbing emos. I'm sure they're good actors, but I could care less. Even if Miley Cyrus or Zac Efron was in it, it would still suck. In all honesty, putting Twilight in the montage is the equivalent of putting a Uwe Boll movie in it. Yeah, that bad.

Halloween Music Vid - "March of the Witch Hunters"

After being snubbed by the WMG a few times trying to release this HMV, I know have the chance to show it to all.

TonyWDA's Next Crossover

Well, tomorrow's the day when TonyWDA releases his latest Animated Crossover, "Friends on the Other Side" from The Princess and the Frog. He's has great editing techniques, and I can't wait to see what he's done. When I saw the trailer for it, I was ecstatic. This guy makes a lot of great videos. He's had his share of troubles, especially with this YT idiot who stole his videos, and one of mine as well. All I can say is, I CAN'T WAIT!!!

New Computer Review

I have tried editing with my old and new editing softwares and played my games and whatnot on my new computer. Success. It's mostly due to the fact that I have more RAM and a better video graphics card. Hell, I watched Inglorious Basterds a few days ago on my new computer and it played like a Blu-Ray! Outstanding! I think it was also due to the fact that I was watching it on this DVD player called PowerDVD DX. Still, I love how exponentially better my new computer is.

New Computer, New Editing Software

Well, I got a majority of my programs and files on my new computer, and I recieved my new editing software, Sony Vegas, in the mail. One problem: I have no idea how to use it. I'll see if I can get some tips from other YT users to get some ideas and tips. Stay tuned.

News on the New Computer

After doing a few comparisons on other computers, I have finally found and bought my new computer, and a brand new editing software. However, I won't be able to use the new computer until I have my data from the old one transferred to the new one. The new editing software will be shipped to me in a few days. Until then, adios.

Don Bluth's Jawbreaker

Anyone who grew up during the 80s and 90s knows about the films directed by Don Bluth, like Secret of Nimh, Land Before Time, and All Dogs Go To Heaven, or some of the games he directed as well, like Dragon's Lair and Space Ace. Even so, we knew that the majority of his films from the 90s were disappointingly bad or mediocre in general. However, while browsing YouTube, I came across a really bizarre piece of animation from Don Bluth that was never released. And if you watch it, you will know why.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=p6uUMPoynRc

This was pretty much the biggest tripout I have ever witnessed. Only problem: I'M NOT EVEN ON ANY DRUGS! I have absolutely NO IDEA what Bluth was thinking when he made this. It's pretty much the biggest acid trip I have ever seen. AND I DON'T HAVE ANY CLUE ON WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!!!

Top 11 Villian Songs review

I LOVE watching the reviews of the Nostalgia Critic. He is funny as hell, but proves a point with some of the bad movies he reviews. And just recently, he made a Top 11 list of Villain songs. Here's the link: http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/nostalgia-critic/17640-top-11-villain-songs NOTE: The video has crude humor and language, viewer discretion advised.

Now my pros and cons:

Pros:
-Like some of the choices, such as "Mr. Grinch" and "Poor Unfortunate Souls", as well as a great idea of putting the new villain song from Princess and the Frog.

-His choice for #1 was a good choice too. It was a wonderfully dark song to choose, especially from a Disney film!

-Some of the songs he mentioned I had used in some of my Halloween Music Vids, so it was nice to get his opinion of the songs themselves. You can find them on my YouTube profile: http://youtube.com/f1315nj

Cons:
-Some of the songs I didn't like, such as "In the Dark of the Night" from Anastasia (for it's stupid choice of characters), "Shiver My Timbers" from Muppet Treasure Island (mostly because it wasn't a villain song, but he never saw the film so that's a bit of a mistake on his behalf), and the choice of an introductory song, which wasn't bad but was just mediocre. He should've used something like "Such Horrible Things" by Creature Feature.

-He had mistaken the actors who sang in Lion King and Anastasia. In the Lion King, Jeremy Irons did sing in "Be Prepared" up until he lost his voice near the end, so Jim Cummings had to sing the rest for him. In Anastasia, Jim Cummings sang for Christopher Lloyd's character throughout the entire song. And if you ever read Jim Cumming's profile on iMDb, he's been pretty busy throughout his career!

So that's all I can say about it. It wasn't what I had hoped, but it was still pretty decent. And, of course, it was hilarious. You can watch his reviews and other sketches, as well as reviews from other people, at http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/ Until next time, keep on rocking!

One Winged Angel Halloween Music Video

Well, I have been neglecting news and information about this Halloween Music Vid, but now I have the chance. If you never heard about this or don't remember, I had made a sneak preview of my upcoming HMV, using the song "One Winged Angel" from Final Fantasy: Advent Children. However, with other HMVs in the works, as well as school work, I have only been able to work up to at least 80% of the video. You may ask me, "Well, what's left then, you lazy schmuck?" Animation. I plan to put in some animated bits of my own using Garry's Mod. However when I used FRAPS to record it, it was a bit jumpy and shoddy. In other words, it was CRAP. I believed the main reason was because I needed more memory and hard drive space, and possibly a new video card. This is where the new computer comes in. So until further notice, I will be working on school work while trying to get a new computer.

P.S. Here's the preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fpdZZfs0Ig

Good News and Bad News

Good News: I was able to get a new external hard drive to store a majority of my stuff from my old computer. It's about 500 GB, with over 400 GB left in free space (Yeah, I have a lot of crap on my computer :P).

Bad News: I have been looking at new computers on Dell, which are less expensive than HP or Gateway. I was able to customize the computer I wanted, with certain specifications such as hard drive space, good amount of memory, etc. However, it is really expensive and I wouldn't be able to receive it until the beginning of April. Yeah, that's just brilliant >:[

So, that's about it. I've been trying my best, and with college in the way, it's going to be a while. Until then, I'll see what I can do for any upcoming HMVs.

Disneydaniel93's Birthday

Me again with another update. My associate, subscriber, and friend, Disneydaniel93, has a birthday is coming up in April. You may not know him, but you may remember his original channel name, Brerdaniel. Anyway, his birthday is coming up, and I promised him a HMV as a brithday gift from me. I will not say what song I will use, I prefer it to be a surprise to all. I'm still dealing with my old computer and schoolwork, so I'll do what I can.

Hiatus of Halloween Music Vids

Hello, this is F1315NJ. If you visit my YouTube channel, then you'll know that I haven't posted any new Halloween Music Vids since Halloween. And I have two reasons as to why I haven't made anything.

1. Schoolwork. I have been busy with the Fall semester of college, and I am currently busy with the Spring semester. My study work and homework are higher priorities opposed to making my little HMVs. I try to edit a few once in a while, but with school work, I don't have the time.

2. Computer problems. My computer is pretty much close to being obsolete. I'm low on hard drive space to store the videos and songs, and even though I have a 1 GB memory, it's not enough. However, I will try to get a new computer with higher capabilities for future HMVs.

So, that's all for now. I'll try to work on future HMVs. I have a few songs I had in mind to use, but I would rather keep it a surprise to you all, especially my subcribers.
